Immediately after you perform a 'What-if', the results of this
function are displayed on the Strategy Screen. Any adjusted figures will appear in
cells within the Right Hand "Business Results" Panel.
You are also able to view the actual Net Change resulting from your 'What-if', rather than merely the adjusted figures.
You can display the Net Change straight after performing your 'What-if'.
To do this, select the Net Change
button from the menu bar at the top of the screen, after you have performed your action.
A Net Change highlights any items that have been affected by the
action performed, and the amount by which they have altered.
The Net Change icon acts like a 'switch' that displays the variation
between your business' figures before and after an action is performed.
When a Net Change is carried out, you will notice a few minor changes in your screen:
- Only the figures that have been impacted by the change will have numbers
in the cells. These numbers represent the variation in your business financials
caused by an ANZ Impact action.
- The Net Change icon
will appear at the top of each panel, indicating that the screen is now in
"Net Change Mode".
- In addition, many of the menu items in the top menu bar will become inactive.
This is how a Net Change Screen looks, after a 'What-if' has been
performed in the Strategy Screen.
Click on the icon above to view the screen
To switch back to the Strategy Screen displaying the actual business figures:
- Select the Net Change icon
a second time to 'switch off' the Net Change mode.
- You can choose to delete your original action (eg a 'What-if') by selecting the
Undo icon

The Net Change function can be used in:
- The ANZ Impact Strategy Screen, and also
- The ANZ Impact Return on Capital Employed (ROCE) % Graphic screen
The Net Change function will show the variation resulting from the following actions
- 'What-if'
- 'Goalseek'
- 'Roll Forward'
'Switch off' the Net Change Mode by pressing the Net Change button, then
Select Undo, to delete the action that you viewed in Net Change mode.
