Understanding the Business Results

Business Results - These results are the outcomes of the business performance & structure, and are often referred to as Key Financial Performance Measures. An understanding of the business results will help you determine trends and potential issues that may occur in your organisation's financial data.

The Business Results can be expressed either as:

• Percentages (eg 'Gross Margin'), or
  
  
• Dollar amounts (eg 'EBITDA': Earnings Before Interest, Tax, Depreciation, and Amortisation), or
  
  
• Multiples (eg 'Interest Cover'), or
  
  
• Ratios (eg 'Current Ratio')
