Create a New Model - Loading Wizard

Why use the Loading Wizard?

The Loading Wizard is similar to the Manual Entry method of model creation using the 'Details Windows' in that it requires you to input your financial data in sufficient detail to allow ratio calculation.

However the Loading Wizard can be regarded as a simpler method because:

  • the level of data input is less extensive

  • a Help function is available, while inputting data, providing an explanation of Items and Sub-Items.

How to use the Loading Wizard

First you will need to enter the dates and number of days you would like to apply to your model.

Then you will be presented with the first of the Item Category screens. Each screen requires you to input data in the white cells associated with the specified items. You should enter data for both the previous year and current year. Once again, grey cells calculate automatically. You should try to populate as many of these cells as possible. A figure of zero will be assumed for cells that you leave blank.

The Loading Wizard has the following features:

  • Use the 'next' button or the tabs to the left-hand side of the screen to move between items. You should complete each and every screen.

  • The 'Help' box to the right of the screen displays an explanation of each item. To view an explanation, simply click in the relevant cell.

  • The 'finished' button takes you to the Loading Screen when you have completed all the screens.
