The Loading Screen (click on link below) is the screen you will use
to enter your financial data if you have chosen the 'New Model – Manual Entry' option
to create your financial model.
This screen is also presented if you have used the Loading Wizard
option but your model is not yet balanced.
To input your business’ financial data on this screen you manually
type it into the white cells. (The grey cells calculate automatically).
Your organisation's Profit and Loss figures will be displayed on the
panel on the left, and your organisation's Balance Sheet figures will be displayed in
the panel on the right.
Please note that ANZ Impact only holds financial data for two consecutive periods
(i.e. Previous & Current) in any one financial model. You can enter financial data
for only one period into the 'current period' if that is all that you require for
some simple analysis. If you however use financial data for two periods, you should
always ensure that they are consecutive financial periods.
To ensure that sufficient detail is captured for ANZ Impact
to perform ratio calculation, it is recommended that you input your financial data
using the 'Details Window' associated with each white cell.
There are two ways in which you can access detailed level data:-
Either double click on the white cell which you would like to add
detailed account information to OR;
- Choose the item for which you wish to enter details (eg: COGS for Previous year) and click on the appropriate white cell (click on screen link below)
- The item label will appear in the 'View/edit details' box, located in the top right hand corner of the Loading Screen
- Select the 'View/edit details' button. The 'Details Window' will appear.
You may then;
- Enter your data into the cells adjacent to the relevant sub-items, and add sub-items as appropriate. (You are able to add up to a maximum of 10 sub-items for each item).
- Close the 'Details Window' and view the total that has been automatically calculated for the item.
You will notice that each of the details windows makes provision for you to enter ten detailed financial statement line items. Some however make provision for the entry of a further five line items. The details windows for the financial statement item categories that allow for fifteen rather than ten detailed line items are listed as follows;
- Overheads
- Other Expenses / Income
- Other Current Assets
- Other Current Liabilities
You will notice that on the left hand side of the details windows for each of the above statements there is a "+" symbol. By double clicking with your mouse on this symbol you will expand your details window view from ten to the full fifteen statement line items. This function will assist you when you have a lot of detailed and material statement items that make up your financial statements.
