Managing Director, Products and Marketing
As Managing Director, Products & Marketing, Matt is responsible for ensuring we understand and respond to our customers’ needs by offering an optimal mix of banking solutions and benefits.
His portfolio encompasses credit cards, mortgages, personal loans and deposits, as well as market research, analytics, customer segmentation, sponsorships and driving our Digital agenda.
Matt joined ANZ from Bank of America Corporation, where he worked in a range of positions, in both the US and UK.
These roles include responsibilities spanning finance, product management and consumer segments. He played a pivotal role in moving Bank of America’s large and highly-matrixed consumer division from being product to segment-driven, and was responsible for a number of successful new product launches and redesigns.
Matt holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Massachusetts Amherst.

Managing Director, Retail Distribution
Mark is responsible for key retail distribution channels including the Australian branch network and customer contact centre, servicing around five million customers.
Mark has been with ANZ for more than 24 years, including four years as Head of Audit for the Middle East and South Asia. Based in Mumbai, India, Mark was responsible for monitoring and reporting on ANZ risk exposures across 15 countries.
On returning to Australia, Mark was appointed Head of Credit and Operating Risk for SME Banking, before moving to the customer frontline, where he held senior roles including General Manager, Business Banking Manager segment.
Prior to his current role, Mark was General Manager, Regional Commercial Banking. He achieved significant profit growth and led the acquisition of Landmark Financial Services, taking ANZ to second place in the agribusiness farm gate market. He also extended ANZ’s small business banking proposition to regional Australia.
Mark is a CPA and holds a Bachelor of Business and a Masters of Business Administration from Deakin University. An alumnus of the Williamson Community Leadership Program, Mark is a strong advocate for ANZ development programs, regularly mentoring young and talented ANZ staff members.
Mark chairs the ANZ Staff Foundation and Australia Division Diversity Council, and is a member of the ANZ Diversity Council. Mark is also a member of the Diversity Council Australia board.

Managing Director, Corporate and Commercial
Mark Whelan has been in banking for 26 years, and has vast experience in the Asian Market and Institutional banking.
Prior to joining Corporate and Commercial Banking he was Managing Director of ANZ’s Institutional, Commercial and Private Bank businesses based in Hong Kong.
Mark joined ANZ in November 2004 as Head of Sales, Markets, before taking on the role of Joint Managing Director, Markets, in 2005 and then Managing Director, Institutional Asia, in 2007.
Prior to joining ANZ, Mark worked at Westpac where he held several senior roles including General Manager, Global Investor Sales, and General Manager, Institutional Banking, Victoria.
Mark holds a Graduate Diploma in Taxation and a Diploma in Accounting from the Royal Melbourne Institute of Technology (RMIT).
Mark is a Fellow of the Certified Practicing Accountants (CPA) and a member of the Financial Treasury Association, the Australian Financial Markets Association and the Australian Institute of Company Directors.

Jeremy has over 28 years experience in both consumer and commercial banking. He joined ANZ Commercial Banking in August 2009 as General Manager, Business Banking.
Prior to joining Australia Operations in 2012, Jeremy was General Manager, Business Execution. In this role he was responsible for transforming the operating model across Commercial & Corporate Banking.
Starting his career as a Business Banker at Westpac in the early 80’s, he held a number of senior positions leading Westpac's Commercial & Regional Business Banking, Consumer Financial Services, Consumer Distribution and Consumer Products teams. Prior to joining ANZ, he led the Premium Business Banking Group within Institutional Banking at Westpac.
Throughout his career Jeremy has also worked at NAB, ASB Bank, American Express and Bank of New Zealand. He holds a Masters of Business Administration from Melbourne Business School.
Jeremy is a New Zealander and is married with two children.

Chief Financial Officer
Nick Freeman is Chief Financial Officer Australia Division and joined the team in January 2013.
Nick is responsible for all aspects of financial management and business performance across the Division.
Prior to this role, Nick was Chief Financial Officer New Zealand and was responsible for Finance, Taxation, Treasury, Property, Sourcing and Internal Audit.
Nick joined ANZ in May 2007 as Chief Financial Officer Consumer Finance before moving to roles including Acting Chief Financial Officer Personal Division and Chief Financial Officer for Operations, Technology and Services based in Melbourne.
Nick has more than 20 years’ financial management experience including Chief Financial Officer roles for General Mills and Millers Retail, Group Treasurer of Qantas and general accounting roles at Shell. He has also spent time as an auditor for KPMG and consulted for Credit Suisse First Boston.
Nick holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Melbourne, a Graduate Diploma in Management from Monash University, Melbourne, and is a chartered accountant.

David's role is to ensure ANZ's risk management framework is effectively embedded and appropriately managed in partnership with each of the Australia businesses.
David joined ANZ in 1997, and since that time has held senior risk roles in Australian Mortgages, Global Markets, Consumer Finance and Group Treasury. His most recent role was Head of Risk Secured Lending within the Australia Division.
David holds a Bachelor of Science and a PhD in mathematics from the University of Melbourne.

Suzette Corr is General Manager Human Resources Australia and ANZ’s Group General Manager, Talent and Culture.
As GM Human Resources Australia, Suzette leads a team of human resources professionals to develop and drive the people agenda and organisation development priorities required to enable the Australia Division strategy.
In her role as GGM, Talent and Culture, Suzette leads the Group HR portfolios which include talent, performance management, resourcing, enterprise remuneration, learning and development, culture, diversity, employee engagement and employee relations and ensures that these support ANZ’s group wide people strategy.
Suzette is an experienced human resources executive with demonstrated strength in strategy and execution developed across a range of sectors, including Consulting and Financial Services.
Suzette joined ANZ in 2008 initially as Head of Human Resources for Retail Banking, subsequently leading the HR team for Retail Distribution before her appointment as General Manager Human Resources Australia in 2010 and as GGM Talent and Culture in 2013.
Prior to joining ANZ, Suzette held senior Human Resources positions at National Australia Bank as well as business consulting roles with Arthur Anderson and Ernst & Young.
Suzette’s service with both Government and Not for Profit organisations includes
Director of Workplace Health for VicHealth, Interim CEO for Very Special Kids,
Deputy Chairman International School Fiji Board of Governors, and Advisory Board membership of Melbourne Youth Music and Personal Emergency Services Victoria.

As General Manager Transformation, Glenn is responsible for driving ‘Banking on Australia’, a five-year, $1.5 billion investment program designed to reshape our business to make it easier for Australians to bank with ANZ.
Glenn’s accountability includes an upgrade of ANZ’s distribution networks; simplifying products and processes; building our online and digital banking capability and improving customer insights and analytics to build the capability of our people. The program is expected to deliver significant productivity improvements, while responding to changing customer needs.
Glenn has over 27 years’ experience in banking with more than 15 years at ANZ in various roles, most recently as acting Managing Director, Product Strategy & Marketing.
Immediately prior to this, he led the Division’s product business, delivering strong market share growth through a period of significant business and market change.
Glenn Joined ANZ in 1997 from Commonwealth Bank working initially in Communication, Marketing & Mortgages, including Head of Product & Marketing, Mortgages.
He holds a Graduate Diploma of Management and MBA from Deakin University.
