Joyce Phillips is Group Managing Director Strategy, M&A, Marketing and Innovation.

Joyce joined ANZ in August 2009. Previously she was President and Chief Operating Officer at American Life Insurance Company (ALICO).

Prior to joining ALICO in 2007, Joyce was with Citigroup where she was Head of International Retail Banking, responsible for Citigroup’s global retail banking franchise in 42 countries.

Her other roles with Citigroup include Country Business Manager, Citibank Global Consumer in Japan and Chief Executive Officer of Citicorp Diners Club, also based in Japan.

Joyce joined Citigroup in 1999 from GE Capital where she held various management positions in the Global Consumer Finance Division.

She has a Masters of Business Administration from the Stern School of Business, New York University and is fluent in Japanese.
