Based in Hong Kong, Gilles leads ANZ’s businesses across the Asia Pacific region which covers all Retail, Commercial and Institutional customers, products and operations across 13 markets in Asia and 12 in the Pacific. He is also the Head of Treasury for International & Institutional Banking. Gilles drives the Bank’s focus on in-country execution and connectivity across ANZ's network to meet the needs of our customers who are trading, investing and migrating across the region. Gilles joined ANZ in 1997 after 10 years of wholesale banking experience in Paris, Tokyo, New York and Singapore, predominantly with Credit Suisse. During his time at ANZ, Gilles has held a number of roles including most recently CEO, North East Asia, Europe & America. He was previously Global Head of Markets, Head of Markets - Europe and America and Head of Currency and Commodity Derivatives. Gilles sits on the Board of Esanda, one of ANZ’s businesses as well as one of Australia's largest vehicle finance providers. He is also currently a Board Member of Shanghai Rural Commercial Bank and Bank of Tianjin, the two partnerships of ANZ in China. In October 2012, he was appointed Non-Independent Non-Executive Board Member of AMMB Holdings Berhad. Gilles holds a Master of Science from Ecole Spéciale de Méchanique et d’Electricité (ESME) in Paris and a Master of International Finance from Institut d’Administration des Entreprises Sorbonne (IAE) in Paris. Vishnu Mohan Vishnu Mohan is CEO Pacific, ANZ. Based in Fiji, he is responsible for leading ANZ’s businesses across 12 Pacific countries and also looks after Fiji as its Country CEO. Vishnu has a strong understanding of Pacific markets having previously been CEO Papua New Guinea and Pacific North West region. Prior to this, he spent some time as an Advisor with ANZ’s partnership bank AmBank in Malaysia. A highly experienced international banker, Vishnu previously held many senior roles with UK’s Standard Chartered Bank in a career spanning over 30 years and covering the Middle East, North America, Southern Africa, West Africa, Thailand, Sri Lanka and Singapore. Predominantly a Corporate banker, Vishnu was also the CEO of Standard Chartered Bank in Ghana, Thailand and Sri Lanka, before being appointed as the Group Head of Islamic Banking, a position he held prior to joining ANZ in 2009. He has built a number of large complex capital markets operations for global banks, including Merrill Lynch and Dresdner Kleinwort in London, New York, Sydney, Hong Kong and Singapore. Before ANZ, Steve’s most recent roles included MD – Head of European Debt Trading and Sales, Derivatives, Debt Capital Markets and Structured Finance for Merrill Lynch, and MD – Global Head of Capital Markets for Dresdner Kleinwort Group. With more than 20 years of experience in the financial services industry, Sanjoy joined ANZ from Citigroup where he has held senior leadership roles spanning Business Management, Sales, Marketing, Credit and Risk. He has also worked in M&A execution and integration activities specific to retail banking. He was most recently Managing Director and Consumer Bank Head for the Middle East, Pakistan and North Africa. Prior to that, he was the Chief Operating Officer and Retail Banking Head for Citibank in China. Sanjoy has a degree in Electronics Engineering and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management where he was the Marketing Gold Medalist in 1990. Malcolm joined ANZ in July 2010 from his previous role as CEO of Prytania Investment Advisors LLP, an independent asset management, risk advisory and analytics firm specialising in the areas of structured finance and credit – where he spent three years, based in London. Prior to this, Malcolm was the Global Head of Fixed Income at Dresdner Bank, based in London, where he was responsible for managing their credit and rates business areas. Before joining Dresdner, Malcolm spent 12 years at JPMorgan in Sydney, Tokyo and London, with his last role being Global Head of the Credit Portfolio Group in the investment bank. Earlier in his career, Malcolm worked in Sydney for ABN-AMRO as Head of Corporate Sales & Marketing – Australasia and for Schroders Australia Limited in Corporate FX, Futures & Options Sales. |
