ANZ opened its Representative Office in Nouméa, New Caledonia in March 2005. The office has
responsibility for the three French Pacific territories of New Caledonia, French Polynesia
and Wallis and Futuna.
As a representative office ANZ Nouméa cannot provide direct banking services, but
acts as a source of information to local businesses and individuals on the services available
at ANZ network points in the region and worldwide. It also assists ANZ customers interested in
doing business in the French-speaking islands of the Pacific.
ANZ Nouméa can provide introductions to local banks to companies that need to issue
bonds for contracts in the mining sector, or which require finance in French Pacific
Francs.
