Rural Banking continues to grow in leaps and bounds and is being welcomed with a sense of anticipation and excitement. For most of our teams, the areas that they serve often come to a halt to accommodate the services ANZ Rural Banking has to offer.

For many in rural and remote Fiji, banking is something that over the years has been harder to maintain because of the rising costs of transportation and banking fees.

The satisfaction for our team members come from witnessing the eagerness of parents and their children as they line up to open accounts with as little as $1.00 – it’s a start and opens a door of opportunity for a much brighter future.

Rural Banking Fiji, which commenced on 1st October 2004, has achieved 100% of all its project milestones.

And it is this from this success, that the concept of Rural Banking is now considered a potential global solution to push Financial Literary a keystone for this initiative, especially considering it’s a world first for partnership between a Corporate and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP)
